Acceptable Location, but Issues with the Room

The location is good, within walking distance of many attractions.
I got a basement room with a view of a wall. The room felt humid, and I noticed mold in the shower. There was barely any shower gel, and the furniture seemed quite dated.

i got no help with our luggage up the two flights of stairs. the bill was more than i expected for parking. i was told it is a city tax, not true

the hotel is within 25 minutes of the Royal Mile. the apartment is bright and spacious with vintage style. Sandy at the reception went the extra mile to ensure my arrival was smooth. she provided clear instructions for accessing my apartment after hours, as my train arrived late.
i noticed a slight lack of atmosphere, as there was no background music in common areas.

the suite features high ceilings that really amplify the sense of space. the bathroom is huge and includes a shower and a spa bath. a kettle, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and a fridge are available.

the reception staff organized some tours for us and made dinner reservations. they were very friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay. the staff provided warm smiles and genuine hospitality from arrival to departure.

the location is excellent and provides easy access to public transport. it's within walking distance of main sights and shopping in the Georgian hub of New Town. dean Village and the tram station are very close.
